About Chenery

Chenery Auditorium serves the diverse needs of dozens of area organizations for music and dance concerts, recitals, lectures, and theatrical performances. 

We are proud to be owned and operated by Kalamazoo Public Schools. 

Few if any local landmarks can boast the storied history of this beautiful and acoustically superior performance hall. Constructed over a century ago, Chenery Auditorium continues to receive rave reviews from audiences and artists alike becuase its wonderful natural acoustics rank with some of the best concert halls in the world. 

The original auditorium within the former Central High School seated close to 3,000 people.
